## 1. About the First Families Pilot
The First Families Pilot ("Pilot") is operated by **Landie Communications Pty Ltd** (ABN 71 691 334 291) ("we," "us," "our"). The Pilot is an early access program for a limited number of families to receive and use our Home Phone device and calling service.
By joining the Pilot, you agree to these Terms of Participation.
---
## 2. What You Receive
As a Pilot participant, you will receive at no cost:
- One Home Phone device (yours to keep)
- Three months of complimentary access to our Party Line calling service
**Party Line** allows the Home Phone to make and receive calls to and from Australian mobile and landline numbers that are not Home Phone devices. Calls between Home Phone devices are always free.
---
## 3. After the Pilot Period
At the end of your three-month complimentary period, your Party Line access will end. We will contact you by email with the option to subscribe to Party Line as a paid service. There is no obligation to subscribe.
If you do not subscribe:
- Your Home Phone will continue to make and receive free calls to and from other Home Phone devices
- Calls to and from Australian mobile and landline numbers will no longer be available until you subscribe to Party Line
---
## 4. Your Home Phone
The Home Phone device provided to you as part of the Pilot is yours to keep, regardless of whether you subscribe to Party Line after the complimentary period.
---
## 5. No Obligations
Participation in the Pilot is voluntary. You are not required to provide feedback, complete surveys, or take any action as a condition of receiving or keeping your Home Phone. We may occasionally ask for your feedback, but you are under no obligation to respond.
---
## 6. Eligibility
The Pilot is available by referral only. To participate, you must:
- Be an Australian resident
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have a working home Wi-Fi and internet connection
The Home Phone is designed for use by children under the supervision of a parent or guardian.
---
## 7. Safety Information
**Not suitable for children under 3 years.** The Home Phone contains cords and small parts that may present a strangulation or choking hazard. Adult installation and supervision of young children is required.
- The device must be connected to a properly functioning power outlet by an adult
- Keep cords secured and out of reach of small children
- Do not use the device near water or outdoors
- If the product appears damaged, stop using it and contact us immediately
---
## 8. Emergency Calling (000)
Your Home Phone supports 000 emergency calling. Emergency calls use the address you provide during signup, which is registered with our telecommunications provider and made available to emergency services.
**Important:**
- If your Home Phone is moved to a different address, you **must** update your registered address by emailing us at info@landie.com.au. Failure to update your address may result in emergency services being directed to the wrong location.
- Emergency calling requires a working Wi-Fi connection and active internet service. If your internet or power is out, 000 calls cannot be made from the Home Phone.
- The Home Phone uses Voice over IP (VoIP) technology. Emergency calling via VoIP may not operate identically to traditional landline emergency calling.
- We strongly recommend that every household maintains an alternative means of contacting emergency services (such as a mobile phone).
---
## 9. Product Support
If your Home Phone develops a fault or you experience any issues, please contact us at info@landie.com.au. We will do our best to resolve the issue, which may include repairing or replacing your device.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
---
## 10. Privacy
We handle your personal information in accordance with our [Pilot Privacy Policy](/pages/pilot-privacy-policy). We collect only the information necessary to operate the Pilot and do not sell, rent, or share your data for marketing purposes.
---
## 11. Intellectual Property
All original content, software, and materials provided as part of the Pilot — including the Home Phone device design, companion app, and website content — are the property of Landie Communications Pty Ltd or its licensors.

## 12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Landie Communications Pty Ltd, its directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your participation in the Pilot.
This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable Australian law, including the Australian Consumer Law.
---
## 13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be communicated to Pilot participants via email. Your continued use of the Home Phone after changes are communicated constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
---
